　完全にTommy Tourの様相を示す。アルバムのリリースとほぼ同時にスタートしたこのツアーではロックオペラTommyからの抜粋が演奏されたおかげで、曲数が前の年から倍以上にも増えている。（Tommyで１曲、というカウントも出来ない亊もないんだけど）

　5月の段階ではトミーから15曲（"Amazing Journy / Sparks", "We're Not Gonna Take It / See Me, Feel Me"は各１曲とカウント）が演奏されている。おそらく様子見の意識が強かったと思われ、このツアーの客の反応次第でフルヴァージョンをやるかどうか決めたと思われる。

　6月のフィルモアも同様のリスト。前半に"Tatto", "Fortune Teller"のメドレーが追加。8月のワイト島（１回目の出演）ではアンコールとして"My Generation" ,"Naked Eye"が登場している。この年前半のツアーでは不思議と"My Generation"は演奏されていなかったので、待望の復活と言ったところ。

　8/17にはウッドストック・フェスティヴァルに参加。伝説のステージである（メンバーは必ずしも満足していないようだが）。この日の曲目は5/17とほぼ同じ（"Young Man Blues"が演奏されていない）。
　"Kids Are Alright"のサントラには"Sparks","Pinball Wizard","See Me Feel Me"が、ウッドストックの映画のサントラの方には"Summertime Blues"と同じく"See Me Feel Me"が収録されている。また、ボックスセットにはピートがアビー・ホフマン（政治活動家）を殴ってステージから引きずり下ろしたときの音声も・・・

　９月ごろからはついにフルに近い"Tommy"が演奏されている。カットされたのは"Cousin Kevin" , "Underture" ,, "Sensation" , "Welcome"の５曲。ほとんど翌年のリーズを含むツアーと同じ曲目になっている。"A Quick One, While He's Away"も復活したので曲数も多く、かなり長いセットリストになった。"My Generation"のインプロビゼイションには"Sparks"や"See Me, Feel Me"といった"Tommy"の断片が登場するようになった。これも定番になっていく。
